Working principle of twin-screw puffing machine
The working principle of a twin-screw puffing machine is to push the material to the front end of the machine through the rotation of two screws, completing heating and puffing. In high temperature and high pressure environments, materials undergo processes such as mixing, shearing, melting, and maturation before being extruded into a barrel to achieve puffing effect.
The main components of a twin-screw puffing machine include the barrel, screw, and heating system. The material is first crushed and input into the extruder chamber, followed by a series of complex continuous treatments under the mixing, compression, mechanical shearing, and friction of the screw. Due to a certain pressure difference between the inside and outside of the barrel, the material experiences a sudden drop in external pressure during extrusion, thereby achieving instant expansion.
The advantage of twin-screw puffing machine lies in its efficient propulsion and extrusion force, which can better complete the heating and puffing of materials. In addition, the design of the twin-screw ensures a more uniform distribution of materials in the machine, thereby better utilizing the heating and puffing effects. Users can also adjust the rotation speed and heating temperature of the screw according to production needs to produce puffed foods with different flavors.
